Seven years have passed since Thomas D released his last solo album. Then in September 2008 he put out "Kennzeichen D." Whereas the previous album "Lektionen in Demut" was dominated by contemplative lyrics with sometimes very philosophical, sometimes extremely bleak content, the focus of the artist's current album is the lightness of being.

He rediscovered how easy it is to make music during work on the last Fantastischen Vier album, Thomas D revealed in an interview. In the interplay between the musicians and producers who helped create "Kennzeichen D," he found a way to be playful with the music. The end result is an extravagant collection of German-language pop songs – sounds and lyrics that are pure fun.

You will have a chance to see Thomas D live starting on December 7 – and the simfy live team will be there, too! Our mobile recording studio will be along for the ride during the entire 2008 "Kennzeichen D" Tour. We will record every concert, then immediately convert the live recordings into high-quality MP3s (320 kBit/s), which will then be copied onto "Concert Sticks" (USB drives). The Concert Sticks will be available for sale immediately after each concert at simfy live booths – a unique memento of the live spectacle you just witnessed!
